Future Trends 2008 color
By Kimberlee Jaynes
Benjamin Moore says it best: "Color is the lifeblood of design." Paint will give the biggest bang for your decorating dollar. Color is the first element the eye sees before shape or size or texture – color is what makes the first printing.
The trends of 2008 are blue, fuchsia, lavender, earth tones, neutrals, black and metallic.
BLUE: I heard that blue is the new green. I love blue jeans, along with the role of Tan bag. It is land, but modern. Blues give your room a calming effect when used immediately and most vibrant colors, Blue can cool down the general sentiment.
MAGENTA: Magenta is for the bold! Never forget the reaction of one of my clients when I painted an accent wall in his home town of magenta.
I was inspired by a magazine ad that appears in a box of dark chocolates in a magenta box. He pulled the ad and showed it to my client. She wanted a radical change, having gone through a recent divorce. I chose a rich chocolate brown for the walls of small in the kitchen and a khaki tan in the living room walls remaining. I got a call when the painters were finished painting the wall of magenta. My client was screaming on the phone "This is not the right color!" I walked away thinking maybe it was a mistake. But it was the right color. I asked my client so please wait until the room was completed.
Fortunately, I stayed in my vision and the customer, ultimately, could see the magenta wall was vital importance to the overall design of the townhouse. Once the carpet, the collection is extensive artwork and accessories, was that my client could see all tied. And now, five years later, he still loves you and so do her friends!
LAVENDER: All the trends of fashion in the home runway. Lavender was done five years and has made a comeback. Lavender can be used as neutral if it applies to all of its surroundings, walls, fabrics, carpets, etc. keeps mixture of textures to feel restless.
Earth tones: 2008 Earth tones are the tones of the land of the70's. Tomato marked red candies, deep brown curry.
NEUTRAL NEW: Neutrals are the easiest way to get a timeless look. You can also get more flexibility when using neutral. Parchment, chalk and slate provide the perfect backdrop for any kind of accent color combinations.
BLACK AND white: Black and white rooms are the best for big bold patterns. You can combine patterns large and small with ease when the base colors are all black and white.
Metallic: They are back in handbags and shoes and designers interior being added to the metal wall color too. To little surprise, I like to use a metallic paint as a powder-room ceiling. Also Use a metallic paint on the ceiling of the dining room to reflect light from your chandelier dance!
I think people are attracted to the same colors you like using. You want to look good at home! So take a look at your wardrobe, there dominant colors that could be drawn from?
That's all about how to use the color that determines the success of its decoration. What kind of natural light Does your home? Lighting changes the way colors look, wall to wall and at different times of day. Consult your paint supplier to provide samples large design (they can charge $ 1 for example) the color want to use. The film (with blue painter's tape) several of these samples around a room. You then have the opportunity to see how the color changes from morning to night before painting!
An easy way to get a sophisticated look is to choose a color and use of various shades of that color. Paint the walls of the dining room on value rather dark color of your choice to create a cozy feeling at night. Then paint the large room in the middle of the shadow of the original color and paint the kitchen in the shade next up. Another trend is to paint the ceiling the same color as the wall color for a perfect mix.
You do not have to be bold with your colors of the room. Using a track a magenta color accent as an accessory, such as the ingredient that makes your room pop! Color used in small doses may be easier for members family to digest.
