What color furniture would go with our black metal bed?
We're getting a black wrought iron canopy bed for our bedroom. We would like also obtain some matching furniture painting (or the existing furniture to save money) and wondered what color would be good for our comfortable, bedside tables, etc? My husband does not want black because it is too dark, so maybe something a little lighter? Not like a natural wood finish, as they take a long time to sand and stain it all.
You may consider getting night, mirror is maintained or a cupboard, or you can paint your furniture or a warm white color warm gray or beige and putting mirrors on the top to get the feel of some of some of the trends. You can also paint the furniture and put pieces granite or marble at the top of the cabinets to give them a warm, complimentary and are more recent. There are some really cool and patina finishes painting (Tommy Hilfiger, I think), which also could be used on furniture. (Just a piece on that goal and then simplify the rest.) You can check out some of the Martha Stewart furniture for inspiration if you're going to paint. It really depends on the look you are going for.
