How can I identify the style of the 1940s dining room set of mahogany?
Table 4 legs are very thick and cut and move in hours of stacked orbs / balls. The comfortable and buffet have similar legs. The set is probably plywood. It was probably among the s. 1920 -1940 '
The legs and feet most importantly you the period (and so on) of a table of antiques. From your description it sounds like what is called a ball and leg claw. Chippendale often used this design in the early 20th century, but then again, a lot of people did. If it is then ball and claw more likely to 1920 however, you should take it to a dealer for a definitive answer.
