I have a little problem understanding Mxolisi Nyezwa Poem: The failure of the poet?
I need to write about the meaning behind the poem "The failure the poet "by Mxolisi Nyezwa. I have to rewrite every sentence in its true sense and some of the lines are a little difficult. …. The failure of the poet poem: "We had words we never said. We could stand in these streets without water and wet March in the rain. We smelled like hungry rogues, smelling like dying corpses Sailing the warm winds of our silence, the search in shelters unwise to cool our lips. We strive for conciliation begging the trodden path of hurricanes cold Seeking out lost igloos, we had a few words these days-long blues Driven by emotions cold in the shadows and the shadows of a dying earth, we had words to say, and drowned them said no. —- You can say a general meaning of the poem, or write to me again, or start writing to me .. Either way I would be very grateful <3
I know exactly what the author is saying. Sometimes you have something really brilliant, and you think himself "Nobody will like this …" And lest you write, or do not show anyone. And so, nobody knows what an incredible job it is. Really beautiful poem indeed. Possibly a new favorite.
