Ecuador Chalet (Kenyatta Avenue; stwd shillings breakfast incl 80012001450) this place quite new in the city center, gives comfort considerable bang for Buck minimum. The rooms surround a courtyard, which was occupied in two areas open balcony and a roof terrace. Double rooms have four poster beds and modern bathrooms advertiser.

Mt Kenya Safari Club (full board s / d U.S. $ 270/390, 4-person houses U.S. $ 995;) originally the home of a family of white settlers, this club was founded in the 1950A from a group including the late actor William Holden. Already one of the most striking top resorts class in Kenya, ita, recently purchased by Fairmont and have big plans for luxury. If golf, tennis, croquet, billiards, swimming, fishing, petanque, a gallery of art and a private wildlife sanctuary with a rare bongo antelope head tickle your fancy, sign up (through more additional cost).
The views to Mount Kenya, are excellent and Hedge Maze there that kids love. Couples as for Riverside homes (no more expensive than Standard rooms), while families will love the charming family homes. Access is a well marked turn-off about 2 km south of Nanyuki, in which along its 9km paving way.

YouÂ'll found that most of the best restaurants in Nanyuki are attached to hotels.
SportsmanÂ's Arms Hotel (off Laikipia Rd, meals kshs150-450) that Nayuki wider menu range, arm Sportsman has been hailed as the town's best restaurant. After one of their curries, which wonÂ't discuss.
Hotel Ibis (Lumumba Rd, meals kshs70-240) Fillets are the Ibisa claim to fame, although most meals are equally pleasing.
Ecuador Chalet (Kenyatta Avenue, meals kshs100-200) chicken marinated with garlic butter, herbs and roasted potatoes sport successes. It a nice place for a meal.
Camcorner (Kenyatta Avenue, meals kshs60-260) a rarity usual serving delicious and meat stews and curries of fire and a selection of camels (including a camel jerky biltong).
Mariana Grill, a restaurant (Kenyatta Avenue, meals kshs90-350) sit on the roof and deeper into a burger or steak. The pizzas are tasty, but embarrassingly small.
Cape Chestnut (off Kenyatta Avenue, Monday to Saturday), this is a great cafe, garden and catering snack place especially for white farmers, experts and tourists. It Off Kenyatta Avenue, 1km south of the city.
Boca Horsea's Pub (Haile Sellasie RD; meals kshs150-400) from this place near Cape Chestnut serving similar customers. Mountain Rock Cafà © (Haile Sellasie RD; meals kshs60-200) popular with locals, this is a good place to rate Kenya cheap.
Rongmatt Supermarket (Kenyatta Ave) a decent grocery store where campers can stock.
Drinking and Entertainment
The restaurants of Cape Chestnut places and Boca Horsea's Pub is very comfortable to enjoy a beer from the light of day, while the afternoon the roof of the Marina Restaurant and Grill is a good option.
Club Bucanero (Laikipia Rd, Wed and Saturday nights) might be a UFO, but the disc is nothing out of this world.
Shopping in Nanyuki, Kenya
There are a number of souvenir stalls and shops around the city, catering mostly to the British Army if you are equipped for change, this is the place to do it.
Spinners and weavers Nanyuki (Laikipia Rd) for something less tacky, try to craft this woman's cooperative that specializes in woven wool products. The product design and pattern is high quality and is cheaper than the same work in Nairobi.
Getting to Nanyuki Kenya and Away
Air Kenya (Safari link) flies daily from Wilson Airport in Nairobi for Nanyuki. A return trip on Regional Air / Safarilink costs U.S. $ 130/149, while one way fares for flights to the north and south are U.S. Dollars 60/70 and 80/90 U.S. dollars, respectively.
There are buses every day and matatus to Nyeri (Kshs100, one hour), Isiolo (kshs150, 11 / 2 hours), Meru (kshs120, 11 / 2 hours) and Nairobi (ksh 350, three hours).
