Rust white painted patio furniture cast iron and iron gates?
I have small areas of rust to appear on both. The door iron is covered, but in small areas of the weld are rust stains. The furniture is covered with white and rust areas appears minute. How I maintain?
The easiest way is with rust converter. It is a spray or brush on the chemical that converts into a first inert oxide as the finish can be painted over and prevents future oxidation. Here's a link to a good retailer, but can also be found at any auto parts and home supply or probably even Walmart. http://www.gemplers.com/product/127787/Spray-on-Rust-Converter Edit: Note, the converter does not work on oxide surfaces not are so rusty in his case, I'd recommend a can and a small brush, just to cover the areas that need protection. And hey NeoNerd Live and learn brother think of all that is good exercise without having to pay for the gym.
