Will the grass grow under an avocado tree?
I have two avocado trees huge and very old in my backyard. One is about 30 'tall and the other is 20 "tall with a canopy of about 30 'diameter. avacados create great shade and delicious. For years I have been trying to grow grass under the trees, but always seem to die after a month. I added lots of compost and a soil rich in nutrients and gets plenty of water. I'm beginning to think that the herb that there just is not going to work. What am I doing wrong? or is there any herb that live happily with the trees? I tried … fescue seed mix, St. Augustine, floors, fescue grass mix, Bermuda grass, nut grass even have in my yard and did not grow there, nut grass grows everywhere. As for asking the heads of plover underpayed uneducated in stores. I have done that and that's how I came to the conclusion that they are uneducated. Oh ya, and I also tried a mixture Shadow had fescues mostlty
Grass does not grow as well in very shady areas but you can always try the green plants that love the shade, as hostas and ferns. Their grass, but do not hold the green.
