What type of wood to use for outdoor furniture?
I'm looking for more durable / longer lasting wood to make chairs. My choices are between white and red oak, ash, fir, eucalyptus, teak and pine. What is the best to worst?
Teak is prized for its beauty and durability. However, due to demand and over-exploitation is getting more expensive and less available. All woods will require some maintenance to prolong the life of the furniture, hardwoods but would be preferable.
